BATT4EU: a new milestone for a more competitive and sustainable EU battery value chain

On 23 June 2021, The European Commission and BEPA signed the Memorandum of Understanding that officially launches BATT4EU, the co-programmed partnership under Horizon Europe for the development of a competitive and sustainable European industrial battery value chain.

The general objectives of the partnership are to contribute to making Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050, to enable European leadership in the battery industry across the value chain and to contribute to achieving a zero-pollution ambition for a toxic-free environment.
