GES on energy storage and supply chains: the StartupItalia interview

Green Energy Storage continues to attract attention within the innovation and energy storage landscape. StartupItalia, a magazine focused on Italian innovation and startups, interviewed CEO Matteo Mazzotta about the role GES is building in the energy storage market, an increasingly strategic sector for the energy transition.

GES technology for the energy storage market

Starting from the current landscape of energy storage technologies, Matteo Mazzotta discusses the distinctive features of Green Energy Storage’s proprietary technology and the company’s journey towards developing a competitive solution for a rapidly growing market. The interview also explores the role of the GES hydrogen battery and the opportunities associated with the development of energy storage systems for stationary applications.

Raw materials and supply chains: a strategic challenge for batteries

Another increasingly important issue in the battery sector is the management of raw-material supply chains. Geopolitical dependence on some of the raw materials used in battery production is increasing supply risks and encouraging companies to rethink their sourcing strategies. GES technology aims to mitigate these risks through the use of abundant raw materials also available in Europe, reducing exposure to potential supply bottlenecks and unpredictable commodity price fluctuations.

The GES project featured by Il Giornale

The issue was also addressed by Il Giornale in the article “Ma così l’Italia adesso rischia la dipendenza da nichel e litio”, published on 10 June 2022. Among the examples mentioned is Green Energy Storage and its IPCEI project, presented as an Italian initiative developing new energy storage technologies and solutions aimed at reducing dependence on critical raw materials.
